What the hail?

After Church today we came home and were relaxing downstairs, when we heard my mom yell..."hurry get up here quick!!" we sprang into action, and flew up the stairs and were able to witness an incredible hail storm. About 10 minutes prior, to my moms frantic screams, she was outside relaxing in the sun, when she saw something fall from the sunny sky and land on our trampoline. She walked over and picked up a piece of hail...one single piece of hail...crazy!!!

and it's a .....

Casey and D invited me to go to their ultrasound, and being the excited aunt that I am, I jumped on that invitation, and I got to see their sweet little baby. At first he wasn't being cooperative and kept his little legs and ankles crossed but then we got the money shot it's definitely a--Boy! That's right they are having a BOY!!! I am so excited for them, and am so excited to see all of Austin's clothes and outfits on a new little baby boy. They are going to be amazing parents. I cant wait to meet their little bundle of joy...I only have to wait until February....urgh!

I stand all amazed

Austin had his 3 year Doctor Appt today. Everything went great!! He got a shot in his arm which was a surprise! I thought this was just a check-up and I think he felt a little betrayed because he said "I don't want to get a shot." and I said, unknowingly of what was about to happen, "Don't worry, no shots today. This appointment is just a check-up." After the shot he waited for the nurse to leave the room and he looked up at me as his eyes welled up with tears and said. "I thought I wasn't getting a shot today?" After a big hug and kiss and a snoopy band-aid he got to pick out 2 stickers and a toy and that made everything all better! The Doctor came in and went over his measurements with me, and said I am standing here amazed right now. Looking at the beginning of Austin's chart you would think that this 2lb. 11.75oz, 15 1/2" little baby boy would have had a life ahead of him full of Dr. visits, therapists of every kind, glasses, and maybe even hearing aids. But here he is talking amazingly well for 3 years old, spouting out colors, shapes, letters and numbers. He is in the 95th percentile for his height and in the 80th percentile for his weight. His vision is perfect and hearing is top notch. He must have had a lot of prayers said for him, because this is definitely not the typical outcome of a baby born 10 weeks early, feel blessed because you definitely are!" I started thinking about the experience of his birth and how EVERYONE was there for us. So many of you fasted and prayed and I received an amazing, life changing priesthood blessing and I KNEW everything would be OK and I KNOW, we are so truly blessed, he is an amazing little boy with a very special mission here. And Thank You again for all of you who had us and especially him in your prayers, we have a very sweet, handsome, special little boy because of your faith.

Rain out!!

We are a little bummed this weekend. We had planned a camping trip with Chads brothers and their families up at Lake Alexander (above Mirror Lake) and because ofthe weather we decided not to go. Instead we all got together at Nick and Kim's house and had dinner and played games, it was fun, but, I still wish we decided to risk the weather and gone camping. I tried to talk Chad into setting up the tent in the backyard and making tinfoil dinners and burrying it in our backyard, and making s'mores over the grill but it was a no go :(
Happy news though! Casey and D went to the fetal studio and the sonographer said it was a girl!! then quickly said, or maybe a boy. So they are going to go in next Friday to hopefully find out for sure...D said that I could go with. I am really tempted but I dont want to step on any toes...but I am soooooo excited!!!!

Here are some pictures from our night at Nick and Kim's house...Chad and Casey decided to have a chug contest with soda and it didnt quite work, but we had some laughs. The kids relaxing in the hammock, and D playing "house" with kids (too cute!).

HOORAY!!

Finally! It has finally happened. I have been a very dedicated, very loyal member to the gym and have been puting in my hour at the gym 5 days a week for 8 months now. I lost 3 pounds off the bat then slowly got up to a tiny 8 pounds lost after 5 1/2 months (urgh!)so I got frustrated, stopped watching what I ate, but still continued with the gym. It's my "ME time". Meanwhile, I gained my little 8 lbs that weren't so little anymore back and decided I didn't like them and wanted them gone for good. So, on July 1st I set a goal to lose 20 lbs by my birthday which is next Tuesday(8/21) and yesterday when I weighed myself I had reached my goal!!! Happy Birthday to me!! I am so thrilled you have no idea. Now a lot of you think wow 20 lbs you must look awesome, but I have a long ways to go and I don't think others can tell so much even though Chad and my family say they can. So on to my next goal and hopefully I can achieve it. NO! I WILL achieve it. Then hopefully at the end of this all, when I reach my final target weight, I will have some great before and after photos. I already have the thin(before) to big(after) ones. Now I want the big(before) to thin(after) ones. Hooray for me!!!

Too cute for words!

My week was a mad dash to the bathroom....

So, I was sick....AGAIN!! I had the flu, uh I think? If I still feel like this Monday morning I am taking the first appointment available kids in tow to the Dr. Office. I basically did nothing this whole week. I skipped the gym everyday but Monday (for those of you who dont know, I have been a very dedicated member of Golds Gym for an hour a day 5 days a week, it is my sanctuary) (I know, I know it doesnt show)So it has been killing me....
Chad had to leave work early on Thursday and take Alyssa to her 15 month Dr. Appt. She got her shots but did really well. I can't believe she is 15 months...no wait, almost 16 months old already!!! Austin went with Chad so that I could rest a little in peace AND quiet, and Austin got to pick out a sticker for being such a good boy, he was very excited about that!
I started feeling a little better, so Saturday we attempted to go looking for camo gear for Chad. Chad is going on the bow hunt at the end of the month with his dad and brothers, down in Escalante. Austin really loved looking at all the stuffed animals, no not a cute little toy stuffed animal, but the HUGE actual poor innocent animal killed and stuffed as a trophy, I find it very sad...and they only reason I am ok with Chad going hunting is because I know he is not going to be able to kill a prancing dear with his bow and arrow----sorry Chad :)
Tonight we went over to G&G Green's house for Casey's birthday dinner. Milo (Casey and D's black cocker-spaniel) came and Austin and Alyssa love to play with him. Austin had a lot of fun playing with Jaydyn and Alayna, and Alyssa was being a little fussy...she has a lot working against her though she has 2 molars coming in, she just had her shots, she had a short nap AND she doesnt feel well. So her crankiness is to be expected!
Casey and D came over afterward to drop off a bookshelf and to pick up more of Austin and Alyssa's baby stuff (tear and sniffle) We wont have any more babies at our house....well, we better not....I am so happy for them, they find out what they are having in about 4 weeks---Hooray!! I cant wait!
Here are some pictures of the only productive thing I did all week...Cute little Alyssa playing on her new(G&G Spencer's old but our new) rocking horse, she gets on him and gives him hundreds of tiny baby kisses complete with sound effects...too cute for words, it needed a picture!

Austin's Tricks

Bouncin' around

We went and saw the Bourne Ultimatum on Friday night and it was AWESOME!! It really is the best one yet, so if you haven't seen it, I would definitely recommend it, the only part of the movie I didn't like was when I drank so much that I had to get up in the middle of an intense scene and go to the bathroom--urgh!

We got a trampoline about a month ago and Austin LOVES it!! so here are a few pics of him having a good time. I don't know if you can tell in the picture but Alyssa is holding on to Chad with all of her might, she really, really wants to like it, but is not quite there yet. She only likes it when she is by herself...it's better that way!

Bitter-Sweet

We got the news yesterday that Grandpa Spencer (Chads dad and step mom Rose) is retiring in Novemeber!! Which is fantastic except for the fact that they are moving down to Escalante and we wont be able to see them as often :( Which we will miss so much but this will definitely give us an excuse to go down and visit more often. Congratulations and we love you!!!
