Until we meet again...

1910-2008

How blessed we are to live during the administration and ministry of President Gordon B. Hinckley. You were generals in the War in Heaven and one day when you are in the spirit world, you will be enthralled by those you are associated with. You will ask someone in which time period they lived and you might hear, "I was with Moses when he parted the Red Sea ," or "I helped build the pyramids," or "I fought with Captain Moroni."

And as you are standing there in amazement, someone will turn to you and ask you which of the prophets' time did you live in? And when you say "Gordon B. Hinckley" a hush will fall over every hall and corridor in Heaven, and all in attendance will bow at your presence. You were held back six thousand years because you were the most talented, most obedient, most courageous, and most righteous.

Baby Shower

Last week I threw a baby shower for D. She wasn't feeling well, but she was still beautiful. We had so much fun with the games (thanks, Luan and Kim) and we all get to be our girly selves when we see those cute little baby outfits, you can't help but say "OOOHH...AAHHH" I also got to show off my masterpiece....(drum roll please) My Diaper Cake! It was a lot of fun making, and it gives the parents to be a very useful gift, so to all my pregger friends, you might get a glimpse at your future gift, by watching the slide show below. We can't wait to meet this little guy, they still can't decide on a name so if any of you have any ideas let me know!
Thanks again for everyone who came and supported D. And thank you for helping me with the shower, it turned out great!

Austin says the funniest things....

I have had a cold/fever for the last couple days. I was complaining to my sister that my back was hurting and Austin chimes in saying "Mom, that is why we need to take care of our bodies."

Austin's first crush

Austin lovesto watch the show "Dragon Tales" on PBS. And whenever I talk about the characters with him he always gets this sly little smile whenever I say the name "Cassie". She is a pink little girl dragon who Austin is a little crushed on. We went on to pbskids.org to play some of the games. And Austin only wanted to play the ones where Cassie was involved. I just thought this way cute! I was boy crazy at a very young age and it looks like he is following my footsteps...yikes! Atleast his first crush is on a cartoon dragon.

Sorry Girls He's Taken...

Chad is the best husband in the whole world!!! AND, I am not just saying that because he came home from work today with my favorite chocolates and flowers. I have been so stressed lately with everything that has been going on (long story). Chad knew just the thing that would make it all melt away even if just for a moment...
Thanks Chad you are the best, I really do appreciate all you do. I know you are stressed all the time as well, with working, going to school, helping out around the house etc. etc. etc. You are the best husband any woman could ever ask for!!!
Smooch Smooch!! I Love You!!!

Tisk...Tisk...Tisk...

I thought I was being nice and was letting the kids color with markers these cool pictures outlined in black velvet that they got for Christmas. My father in Law, Rich, called and I had my back turned writing down a recipe. No my back wasn't even turned I was just facing sideways....anyway, Austin, Alyssa and their cousin Abby decided to make themselves into art pieces. After I got off the phone, I saw what they had done and rushed Austin and Abby into the bathroom and scrubbed them clean. Then I realized I better get a picture of Alyssa to show Chad when he got home, and then thought I would post it on our blog to show all of my many many many friends who are expecting their first babies whats in store for you....enjoy!

P.S. Thank heavens for washable markers!!

Jesus wants Austin for a sunbeam!

Yesterday Austin went to his little church class. Yes he is now out of nursery and in sunbeams(for children ages 3-4) He did so well. I thought he was going to miss all the toys and the playing that he did in nursery, but his teacher said he did really well and was participating and everything. I sit right behind him in Sharing Time and he didn't even reach for me as I walked by or ask to sit with me. I was so proud....a little sad....but so proud!!! After class and a short stay in sharing time we went to Nick and Kim's ward to see baby Seth's blessing. He is getting so big! I cant believe he will be 2 months old this month!! Time sure does fly. After the blessing we went back to Nick and Kim's house for lunch and to visit with family. Darrel (Chad's dad), was up from Escalante, so it was nice to see him. On our way home we stopped by Casey and D's house to see all the work they had done on their babies room.....it is so dang cute!!! They are still struggling for a boy name, and their baby is due next month!! So if you have any ideas please let me know.

Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year everyone!! I can't believe it is already 2008....its crazy! Chad, Jen, Ashley and myself went to a movie we saw Enchanted, which is the cutest movie ever!!. Alyssa stayed at home she was throwing the biggest tantrums and crashed at about 7:30pm Austin got to go over to Grandma Green's house and they watched him while we went to the movie. After we went home and played games and ate junk. Austin stayed up until midnight with us but was a little scared when we went outside and started yelling and banging pots and pans and when I gave him a sparkler he started crying...I felt so bad. On New years day we decided to continue with the junk food binge and start up our Chocolate fountain...it was very yummy!!! Happy New Year! I hope you all can follow through with your resolutions!!!

Happy 2008

Happy Birthday Jack and Kim

My nephew Jack celebrated his 5Th birthday and he invited us all to go bowling. I completely suck but I always have fun!! Austin had a Great time and did AWESOME!! Chad is pro at pretty much anything he tries, and I love watching him!! In fact, everyone in my family has been on a bowling league except for me and Chad, and it showed. I think my high score was 85 and they were all scoring in the 100's. We had a lot of fun and Jack was so cute....he had a lot of fun and got some great presents. That night we went over to Nick and Kim's house and had dessert to celebrate her birthday. And the kids were able to play...they always have a great time!!! Happy Birthday Jack and Kim....I hope your birthday wish comes true!

Happy Birthday

MeRrY ChRiStMaS

Christmas came!!! This was probably the best one yet for me and Chad both as parents. It is soooo much fun watching your kids getting all excited opening their presents and seeing the magic in their eyes. They made me feel that way all over again. On Christmas morning we woke up the kids(in a few years they will be waking us) and as they were walking out to the living room they were giggling and smiling and when they saw that out stockings were full and Santa had eaten the cookies, Austin said "let's go open presents!" They immediately tore into them. Alyssa loved the opening and didnt really pay to much attention on what was inside the present....it was so cute!!! Austin got his Spiderman Lamp (look at the video below) and Alyssa got her baby doll and stroller and they both got completely spoiled! In the past we would open presents at our house and then go to Chads dads house for breakfast, but now he is down in Escalante. It was sad and we missed that part. We went over to Chad's moms house for lunch and opened presents. Chad's Uncle Martin was going to come but he was admittedback into the hospital after having his quadruple bipass surgery (doing well now and is back at home) so we missed them. But we still had a good time with Chads brothers and their families and with his mom and Rich. I made Chads mom and apron that had all the grandkids handprints and little seths footprints and left a little space for when Casey and D's baby comes. We got awesome backpacks and accessories to start our emergency kits. I feel a little more prepared if something happens now. After visiting with family we went home and the kids played with toys and we just relaxed it was the BEST!! The Best part of it all has been having Chad home with us, I am sad he is going back to work tomorrow! We hope you all had a very Merry Christmas!!!

Christmas Day

Christmas Eve

My side of the family does a big celebration on Christmas Eve every year. Which seems to work out just perfectly because Chad's side of the family does their celebration on Christmas Day. We had everyone over at our house and we had a nice dinner and then we played a few games. One game that we played with just the adults was where we wrapped one present but inside was 2 prizes and who ever unwrapped the present first got the prize. You might think that would be easy but there were several layers wrapped in different boxes and we used foil, seran wrap, packing tape, scotch tape, wrapping paper, and three diffent sized boxes. It was sooo much fun, watching everyone just get in to it....complete with grunting!! The kids drew names and had fun watching their person open their present and then seeing what they got! Austin and Alyssa got to open 3 presents on Christmas Eve from Chad and I. They got pajamas, slippers and they each got an ornament that they were able to hang. We set out milk and cookies for Santa and carrots and celery for rudolph and the reindeer. The kids were so excited I was surprised they were able to fall asleep!

Christmas Eve

The True Meaning of Christmas

We went to Church on Sunday as we usually do. Austin and Alyssa however got to wear their new clothes....and Austin was so handsome and Alyssa looked Beautiful. And Chad was very handsome as always! The only thing that was different this week, was I actually was able to listen and hear all of the talk the speaker gave. After church Austin grabbed Alyssa's hand and they were looking at each other just giggling away. He even was sweet and helped her very carefully down the stairs....such a gentlemen.
