Has anyone seen Pinky Beary Spencer?!?!?

This is mostly for family and any friends houses we have been to in the last couple months...

Pinky Beary Spencer is missing!! This is Alyssa's build a bear that she made back in August which she earned by being our potty trained princess!! I thought she was just around the house, in one place or another, but she is nowhere to be found!!! Please if you have seen this bear at your house most likely wearing a hot pink Hello Kitty outfit or pajamas, call me and let me know...we have a very sad little girl here. We also have a very scrumptious reward for the finder!!!!

BMX RACING KIDS

Austin and Alyssa were invited by their cousins Jack and Grace to go race in the Big Wheels race down at . At first they were both nervous. The track is a little intimidating. But once they got to ride the track during practice, they were having sooo much fun, they wanted Chad and I to leave them alone and let them do it by themselves. Alyssa came in 2nd in her race and got a shiny trophy!!! She was so excited. I'm not sure what place Austin came in, but he also got a shiny trophy that he is sooooo proud of!!! We may have 2 more BMX bike racers in our family...

In memory of Matthew David Buhler a great friend, a loving brother and son

In memory of the man who has touched many of our hearts many different ways this is a tribute to his loving soul may his memory live on forever in our hearts. He passed away unexpectedly on January 16, 2009. We love you Matthew.
After celebrating so many births this last month alone. (Our Savior, Kim, Mark, Jack, Abby, Darrel) I have to say it was a complete shock to get the phone call Saturday morning that our 18 year old cousin, passed away. His life was cut very short. We are all searching for the answers that can't be found. Please keep your thoughts and prayers with their family that they will find strength and comfort to get through such a tragic time in their lives. I am so thankful for the knowledge that this is not the end. That we will live beyond this mortal life, and be reunited with our loved ones once more. I hope that bit of truth will lessen their aching hearts even a little during this time.

Here is a poem our Cousin, Margo, wrote just after hearing the news of Matthews passing...

O.N.E.

How fragile life is.

How it is taken with one last breath, one last beat of the heart, one last thought in the head.

One.

One Savior who has redeemed us from the unrelenting chains of death.

One resurrection on one glorious morning.

One lamb that is lost and one shepherd who will diligently search to rescue it.

One seems like a small number, but the power it has to change the world is beyond remarkable and incredible.

One
death of a loved one can change the lives of many, for the good or the bad.

From one, it grows to affect thousands, millions, and generations upon generations of people.

You are not just one, just like the Savior was not just one.

You are: Only Needed Everywhere.

The power of one, now you can see, has more power than any earthly mind can imagine.

One by one we come to Him and one by one we help others come to reunite with their Heavenly Father.

And some, one by one, fall like flies, not knowing what hit them for they were blinded by all the distractions on the wide and deceitful path they chose, one choice at a time.

Life is fragile, treat each day as a gift, that is why it is called the present.

Don't postpone changes you can make now for later.

Again, life is fragile and it is by one thing that can make this day your last.

"Not Me!" Monday

"Not Me!" Monday
I got this idea from Amanda and thought it sounded fun. So this Monday I am joining in...(I still have 9 minutes, to have it still count for Monday)
(oh and I just copied and pasted this part from your blog too :))

For those of you that are totally confused:

"Not Me!" Monday was born out of a desire to admit some of our imperfections and reveal a few moments we'd rather forget.

Why?

Well, for one, because it's just plain fun to pretend that we really did not do the things that we actually so did do. And, two, because reading through great tales of other people's Not Me! Mondays each week is a great way to level the playing field. We're all human, we all take embarrassing shortcuts, and so we may as well show each other that we're all in good company!

Here it goes: My First "Not Me!" Monday...

I did not stay in and am still not sitting in the same "comfy" clothes ALL DAY! (yes this includes the store too)

I did not make a grocery list including what was for dinner tonight and then go shopping and then stop at Chilis for dinner anyway.

I did not say I was going to be "good" today and then split the Chocolate Molten Cake with my kids for dessert.

I did not forget my husbands face wash at the store for the last month.

I did not watch Good Things Utah instead of putting away laundry.

I did not say I was going to workout today and then go out to eat instead.

I did not stay up late tonight updating my blog and reading friends blogs and even random strangers blogs, thats just weird.

I did not read The Cat in the Hat 5 times in a row today.

I did not do 6 load of laundry today and put it ALL away before bed time. (a first in a long time)

I did not enter in all 227 entries for my Free Photo Shoot Giveaway today.

I did not have any trouble reading the writing on ay of the entry forms.

I did not and do not feel embarassed about anything on this list...

Random Cuteness!

I found these while looking for pictures for my MIL (mother in law) I had to post them.

Alyssa has the most beautiful ringlets all on her own. And even though my hair has a natural curl to it, I always loved putting the foam curlers in my hair at night then the next morning I looked like Shirley Temple. And for some reason I loved that, luckily that trend didn't go past the 5th grade. Well, Alyssa takes after her mama. I bought these and I was so excited to see my little baby girl in curlers. I was laughing so hard when I took the curlers out her hair wouldn't separate-it just stayed in it's sectioned curl.

Her Natural Curls are much, much better!

(the best and most recent picture I have to show her curls)

Wish me luck...

It is 1:24am I just finished my last project (until tomorrow, when I remember something else, when are these pregnancy hormones supposed to leave your body, and quit making you forgetful, or is this just me now?!?!? Alyssa will be 3 in April, soooo, ya this is just me now, the one who can't remember where I was just going with this whole blog post...)Oh ya anyway, SO, Chad and I went down to the South Towne Expo Center today, and finished putting my booth together, I am very impressed with how it looks. Nothing fancy, I had ZERO money to spend on this and, I think it looks great. However, at first I did get a little discouraged when I looked around and saw other peoples booths WOW!!! Unfortunately I don't have a couple grand laying around...shucks! Then I remembered, I am new at this whole thing and the fact that I am here at all is freaking amazing, so I am AMAZED at what I was able to pull together, thanks to my family and a lot of great friends!!! So if you have nothing to do this weekend, head down to the South Towne Expo Center and get some great home decorating tips and remodeling ideas and stop by my booth to sign up for a FREE photo shoot and add your new family portrait as the final touch to your newly painted wall. Chad has discount tickets for anyone who would like kids 12 and under are FREE!!! I hope to see you ALL there, BUT for those who can't make it, here is a preview of my booth...

2 0 0 9!!!

We were wild party animals on New Years Eve... The kids were a little grumpy that day so they went to bed a little after 10pm...We shouted Happy New Year then they climbed in bed so when midnight came around we just had a quiet celebration...OK here is how it went, Chad was laying in bed trying to keep his eyes open, I crawled in bed with him, we watched the last 3 minutes of the Dick Clark rockin' eve, had our midnight kiss and gave New Years wishes then went to bed!!!

I hope this post wasn't too exciting!!! and I hope you all Have a very blessed prosperous New Year!!!

Christmas 2008

We had a very good Christmas. My sister has chosen a different path in her life right now, so we were very blessed to have her 5 kids at our house on Christmas eve AND Christmas Morning. Very different but we wouldn't change a thing except having her with us too. On Thanksgiving we wrote our letters to Santa and made sure to tell him they would be at our house and he found them!! Our living room was FULL!!! I didn't take many pictures because I wanted to be in the moment with my family, but here are a few memories from Christmas Eve and Christmas Morning...
We have our family come to our house. We have dinner and treats and let the kids open their presents to each other. The adults play this awesome present game. We wrap the present to where it is near impossible to open using things like, packing tape, duct tape, foil, seran wrap, lotion and vaseline make it even more difficult, but whoever unwraps the present and grabs whats inside gets the prize!!! It's hilarious!!!

Chads dad was visiting from Escalante and he came by Christmas Morning and gave us and the kids our gifts, Alyssa got a cute purse from Mexico and Austin got an awesome learning laptop! We gave them our gift from all the kids which was a framed 16x20 picture of the whole family. Casey, D and Preston stopped by to visit with them and were only there about 30 min. and when it was time to leave they were stuck!!! It had snowed so much in that little of time they had to be shoveled out!!! People were snowmobiling down the street!!!

After Presents at our house. We went to Chad's mom's where there was a whole more presents to open!!! Austin got some Awesome Star Wars guys and ship and much more and Alyssa got a beautiful doll, that I am a little jealous of! Chad got a watch and I bet you can't guess what else---more sunglasses!!!! (just giving you a hard time, love you)

Christmas night we went to Dusten and Asenath's house and had a very yummy dinner and played games and we were able to just visit and enjoy eachothers company while the kids played.
I am sure this is a first  ;-)

We had a wonderful Christmas. I can't believe it has already come and gone!!! We hope you all were able to enjoy your holidays with the ones you love most!
